I want to share with you something my husband was telling me.
Matthew 13 compares the soil to the heart. To read more the Parable of the Farmer Scattering Seed from Matthew 13:1-23, click here.
If the heart is the soil, and the soil is resistant to the seed–it’s going to push out that seed. That seed will not be able to take root. That’s why the soil of our heart has to change. God has to give us a brain wash in our heart.
He has to take the word of God and wash the brain of our heart with the water of the word until we actually believe and receive. It’s not a matter of believing. It’s a matter of receiving.
I believe we believe it.
It’s receiving it.
One moment, God is for me. The next moment: Is God for me? One moment, I can do all things through Christ. The next moment, Can I do all things through Christ? It’s like the exclamation point turns into a question mark?
Words. They can either resurrect us or bury us. Words are like a sharpened pen. They write deep inside of our heart.
Great things can happen to you, but unless they happen in you–they won’t change you.
The heart is the soil.
So it’s not only words spoke to us, but the words spoken to one another. Don’t let anyone else, including the words you speak to yourself or the enemy snatch the seed that is planted in your heart. Keep your soil washed by the Word of God.
Let God give you a brain wash today!
